OpenStudy (e.mccormick):
What did you pick as an answer?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
@e.mccormick B
OpenStudy (e.mccormick):
Yes. 3td power is highest, and 3 terms.
OpenStudy (e.mccormick):
No need to @ name people all the time. It notifies me of replies even without that because I have posted in the question/answer chain.

OK, so, did you find the possible solutions to this one?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
no
OpenStudy (e.mccormick):
Well, they are saying to graph it. So, what would you do for the first step?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
i dont know how to graph this
OpenStudy (e.mccormick):
Well, any equation. When you do the graph, you want everything on one side of the = sign. Then you can treat it as a function.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):
Can you graph \(y=x^3+3x^2-4\)? And do you see that all I did was move the 4?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
sorry i didn't answer, so when i graph the equation how do i know whats the answer?
OpenStudy (e.mccormick):
Well, it will be one of the zeros for x. And, negative dimensions are impossible.
OpenStudy (e.mccormick):
And by a zero for x, I mean when y=0, what is the x value?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
like that

I think you forgot the -4.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
it has to be -4?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ohh ok so the x value is 1
OpenStudy (anonymous):
?

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):
Yah. 1.
OpenStudy (e.mccormick):
Because the -2 is impossible, it has to be 1.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
alright thanks man!
