What is the slope of a line perpendicular to the line in this graph?

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

Can you find the slope of the line in the graph? The product of the slopes of 2 perpendicular lines is -1 (assuming that one of the lines is not parallel to the y-axis, which would give it infinite slope).

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

For example, if you had \(y=x\) for your first line, which has slope 1, the perpendicular line would have slope -1, because 1 * -1 = -1. Thus the perpendicular line would be of the form \(y = -x + c\) where \(c\) is a constant.
