OpenStudy (compassionate):

Add the coefficients and variables of your terms.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you would have \[5x^5*x^8*2y^10\rightarrow (5x^13)(2y^10)\] x^5*x^8=x^13 that is how i got x^13 then just put everything back together and you get 5x^13*2y^10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

forgot to multiply the coefficients so you would get 10x^13*y^10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh thanks I am trying to understand it a little is coming back thanks for explaining

OpenStudy (anonymous):

here is another

welcome anytime just remember that coefficients you multiply and variable with powers you add
