What does it mean to have an angle greater than 360 degrees (refering to trig)

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

A pain in the neck? :) A full turn is exactly 360 degrees, aye?

Yes all the way round :)

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

Well, then, if you exceed 360 degrees, it's like you're starting over. Let's say this angle...|dw:1369654775928:dw|

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

|dw:1369654832114:dw| Measures like so. But as far as Trig (or specifically, trigonometric functions) are concerned, this angle is essentially|dw:1369654869971:dw| The practical upshot of which, is, if you have an angle, you can keep adding or subtracting 360 degrees to it, it's essentially the same angle :)
