Find distance between the points (-4,-10) and (-3,-11)

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

You can use the distance formula...the square root of the sum of squares \[d = \sqrt{(x2-x1)^2 + (y2 - y1)^2}\] You have your 2 points (-4,-10) (-3,-11) (x1,y1) (x2, y2) Can you do the rest?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got \[\sqrt{2}\]

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

That's correct...

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

Note that it doesn't matter which point you choose as x1,y1 — squaring the difference makes it irrelevant
