how do i use equal intervals to make a frequency table for the average number of movies per person. 0.5, 1.2, 1.3, 1.3, 1.5, 1.8, 2.2, 2.2, 2.2, 2.5, 2.5, 3.0, 3.0, 4.5

OpenStudy (mertsj):

How many intervals do you want?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5

OpenStudy (reemii):

values range from x1 to x2. you can use intervals of length (x2-x1)/5. you see?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

The size of your intervals depends on how many intervals you want. If you only want 2 intervals you would go from .5 to 4.5 which is 4 units and each interval would be 2.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

If you want 5 intervals you should take your range and divide it by 5. Then you know the size of your intervals.

OpenStudy (reemii):

0.5 is the smallest value 4.5 is the biggest value. |dw:1369783018673:dw|
