OpenStudy (nory):

For the inverse, you want to switch the places of x and y. Then solve for x.

OpenStudy (nory):

Sorry. Let f(x) = y, then do that.

OpenStudy (nory):

So you start off with y = 2x - 4. (Right?)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i did 13 and 14

OpenStudy (nory):

Switching the positions of x and y, we get x = 2y - 4. Now can you solve for x? (easy)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I need help with 15-17

OpenStudy (nory):

Ooh. Okay then. (one moment.)

OpenStudy (nory):

In 17, start out by factoring all the polynomials.

OpenStudy (nory):

It's fairly easy. The numerators are all quadratics, but won't take you too long. On the bottom, one is prime and the other you can factor out 2 from.

OpenStudy (nory):

Try factoring, and tell me what you get.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (nory):

And that's how you get your answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got 2x+4/x-3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is that right?
