It's called "cognitive dissonance." Sometimes, the things that we believe don't really match up with what happens, in real life. Bella believed that cheating was bad. But in real life, she ended up choosing to cheat. "Cognitive dissonance" is where the reality doesn't match with our attitudes. And so, we change our attitudes, to match reality.
