OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

Which do you think?

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

I look at the point where the two lines cross, and see if the target line is in the right spot. Then move to either side and see if the target line does the right thing.

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

with a pair of lines where the slope of one is -1*the slope of the other, the sum of the two should be constant, right?

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

For example, y = x and y = -x — add the two together and 2y = 0 is just a horizontal line.

OpenStudy (rajee_sam):

write the equation of the line which is f(x) and also write the equation of the line that is g(x). add f and g and find what the value is. Then compare it to your graphs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

C or A

OpenStudy (rajee_sam):

can you tell me the equation of the line f(x)? and g(x)?

OpenStudy (rajee_sam):

if you ask us the question C or A it means you did not do the work that we guided you to do

my brain at 1 am is semi malfunctional

OpenStudy (rajee_sam):

I am at 1 am too So try hard

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i will

OpenStudy (rajee_sam):

@whpalmer4 he gave you the answer in a way. "you have two lines one with a slope +1 and the other with a slope -1. if you add them both you will end up with a constant". This is what he wrote. what does that mean to you?
