OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Well, what do you think it is? It goes from one evrtex to another, so that limits the choices.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

angle bisector?

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Well, an angle bisector would do just that, bisect or cut in half an angle. Does this segment do that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it just a triangle side then thats what it looks like

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

This all come down to asking yourself questions based on each of the terms. Already looked at angle bisector. Altitude, the height from one angle to the opposite side, which will be perpendicular to the side it touches. A perpendicular bisector must be perpendicular, have a right angle, and bisect something. Is it that? Triangle side... which is simply the side of a triangle. And yes, as you have noticed, it is the last, a triangle side.
