Ouch, this hurts my brain. Good luck!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Haha thanks @ballsohardskeezerstryingtofindme

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Looks like a porabola

OpenStudy (anonymous):

However i have no idea what A or the dotted line are

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is a parabola. A is the focus and the dotted line is the directrix

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To get a side parabola instead of y = x^2 you must have y^2 = x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not sure if this is right, but this is what I got: \[\sqrt{(x+4)^2 + (y-3)^2} = 4\]

OpenStudy (reemii):

imagine the graph is shifted 3 units below. find the equation. then replace 'x' by 'x-3'. this is what i mean:|dw:1370130573298:dw|

OpenStudy (reemii):

|dw:1370130695620:dw| there's a formula like this : \(x = \frac{y^2}{2p}\), I tihnk it's more or less that. do you remember the exact formula?
