help me find the area?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

114in^2 57 in^2 812 in ^2 957 in^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@jim_thompson5910

OpenStudy (anonymous):

does anyone know how to do this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what does theta mean?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you do :). The area of any 4 parallel sided figure is base * height. (square, rectangle, parallelogram). height is not to be confused with side length; it is the total height o the parallelogram. simply take base times height. don't use alchemista's way, that is a more advanced math class

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay I have a few more questins should I post them in a new one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

herei s fine if you want

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay its kinda the same thing.. find the area leavin in simplest radical form. 10 44 48 20

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im not sure of the formulas for these things

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Area of a trapezoid: \[A = \frac{ b_1+ b_2}{ 2 } * h\] where b1 and b2 are the two differently sized bases and h is the height

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which are the bases?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can also add the area of the two triangles + the area of the square. you'll get the same answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the top base (8 cm) and the bottom base (2 + 8 + 2 cm)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ill solve and you tell me f im right k?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Plug it in, plug it in...thats all it is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay I got 40? idt that's right though

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh I see where I messed up hold up a sec ill try again

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nvm still got 40 lol. silly me. thanks! can u help with a couple more?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait for that last one 40 isn't one of my options?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

10 44 48 20 are my opions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i see the problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how about this one.. its a little different. identify DEF -->HIG as a reflection, rotation or glide reflection. find the reflection line, translation rule, center and angle of rotation, or glide translation rule and reflection line. A. rotation; 180* about (-0.5,0) B. glide reflection;translate 8 units to the right then reflect across the line y=4. C. reflection; x=5 D. rotation; 180* about (1,4)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i assumed the base of the left triangle was 2 making the total 12 cm. it is 14 cm. the left triangle has a base of 4 and not a base of 2. the base of 4 can be confirmed using tan45 = 4/x --> x being the base were looking for, for its should be (8 + 14)*4/2 = 44

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think you should make a new thread for this translation/reflection thing. its been too long, i wouldn't be able to explain it properly. best of luck :) going afk 5 mins actuallly

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whats afk
