Can someone help me with quadratics.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Quadratics like x^2+2x+1?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whats the question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

THAT is a good question.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you need to solve for x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The general solution for any quadratic equation is: (Lets assume the equation is ax^2 + bx + c = 0)|dw:1370181786289:dw| So for @DoYourHomework's question, x^2+2x+1 = 0, a = 1, b = 2. c = 1. Therefore|dw:1370181956072:dw| which is equal to -1. So, we get x = -1. (This quadratic is a perfect square, so there's only one distinct root.)
