How do you find the derivative of: (4x^3+3x^2) / x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[4x^3+3x^2 / x\] I keep getting \[12x^2 +6x / -1x^2\] and answer is \[8x+3\]

sam (.sam.):

Split the x from denominator then use power rule for the 2 terms

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can divide both terms by that x instead of using quotient rule. this is equivalent to: 4x^2 + 3x. I'm sure you see the answer now :)
