Last year, Rebecca contributed $95 per month toward her 401(k) account. If her employer matched 19% of her contributions, what was the total amount contributed to the 401(k) at the end of the year?

@thestudyowl do you have any clue? :-(

OpenStudy (thestudyowl):

Hey, Lets see... She contributed $95 per month toward her 401k account and her employer matched 19% of that. So were basically looking for that 19% her employer matched and then we can add what she contributed with what her employer contributed and get the total amount contributed to her 401k. First lets find out what she contributed to her 401k by multiplying $95 by 12 months. \[95\times12=1,140\] So she contributed $1,140. Now lets find that 19% of $1,140. After working it all out we find that the 19% is \[216\] Now all thats left to do is add! Hope I helped(: Let me know if you need help with anything else(:
