Solve -3x + 1 > 4 and describe the graph of the solution

OpenStudy (goldphenoix):

\[\large \large -3x + 1 > 4\] To find x, you want to use reverse pemdas. So to get rid of 1, you want to subtract it by -1, from both side. This will give you, \[\large \large -3x = 3\] Next, you want to get rid of -3. You can do this by dividing it by -3. (Since -3 divide by -3 is 1) So, finally, x = -1.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-3x+1 > 4 first you -1 to try and isolate the x -3x>5 now divide by-3 /-3 x<5 flip the sign because it was a negative you can graph it right?

OpenStudy (goldphenoix):

Opps. My bad.
