OpenStudy (bostonblue):

in a tv show or a play, do you know what the writing is called in a scene of two or more people, that gives the person's name and then the lines they say to the other person? i'll give you a hint: it's not a monologue . . . .

OpenStudy (thestudyowl):

Hi, Well first lets get the definitions of these terms. "Figurative language is a word or phrase that departs from everyday literal language for the sake of comparison, emphasis, clarity, or freshness." "Dialogue: a conversation between two persons." I believe metaphorical discourse, is when people are using many metaphors. "The action or process of talking about something, typically in order to reach a decision or to exchange ideas." So after reviewing these definitions which one would fit "a conversation between characters in a work of nonfiction (or fiction)"?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's the dialogue

OpenStudy (thestudyowl):

You got it!(: Let me know if you need help with anything else(:
