Choose the correct simplification of the expression (2x − 6)(3x2 − 3x − 6). 6x3 − 24x2 + 6x + 36 6x3 − 24x2 + 6x − 36 6x3 + 24x2 − 6x + 36 6x3 − 24x2 + 6x + 12 @ash2326

(2x − 6)(3x2 − 3x − 6). you sure thts rite?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[(2x-6)(3x^2-3x-6)\]

OpenStudy (ash2326):

@unheard did you try?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6x3 + 24x2 − 6x + 36

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

no steps?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, I didn't try, because I forgot the method for this one.

OpenStudy (ash2326):

@bzbnme Please explain how you got this,

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok...actual i screwed it up... the first term is the same in all cases....the last term must be positive so rule out the second and fourth answers...so the only difference in the first and third one is the second and third terms... x^2 terms are all negative so the real answer should be 6x3 − 24x2 + 6x + 36... sorry for the earlier error!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or just work it out like this \[2x(3x^2-3x-6)-6(3x^2-3x-6)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you have to do two things first.|dw:1370365425708:dw| what do you get? :)
