Glory be to God for the dappled things For skies of couple-color as a brinded cow; For rose-moles all in stipple upon trout that swim. Is this sprung rhythm?

Hi, First lets look at the definition for sprung rhythm: "A poetic meter approximating speech, each foot having one stressed syllable followed by a varying number of unstressed ones." Lets break it down a little more. Here are the definitions for stressed and unstressed syllables: "Stress is the relative emphasis that may be given to certain syllables in a word, or to certain words in a phrase" "Having no stress or accent." So with those in mind what do you think?

would having stress mean many syllables ?

OpenStudy (thestudyowl):

Well, it's emphasis on certain syllables in a word or phrase.
