Find the quotient of 3over4 ÷ 9over20 in simplest form.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a quotient is the result of a division problem (basically just a fancy way to say solve this) and since you really cant divide fractions because they're already division problems, you flip the second one and change the sign to multiplication which will give you 3/4 times 20/9 simplifying to 60/36 further simplification gives you 5/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you need it in a mixed number or an improper fraction?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its not one of the choses on my test but there is a 3/5 do you mean that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what are your choices?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A.1 2/3 B. 3/5 C. 1/4 D. 27/80

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its A 5/3 is the improper fraction of 1 and 2/3, which is the mixed number
