what is mitosis
Mitosis is when the cell divides to produce another cell. It has 4 phases in the mitosis itself: 1.Prophase: Nucleus begins to dissolve, the DNA begins to coil into chromosome form using proteins called Histones and the centrioles begin moving to the poles of the cell. 2. Metaphase: Nucleus has been completely dissolved to allow for the chromosomes (now finished coiling) to move to the equatorial plate (center of chromosome), the centrioles are attached to the membrane by these things called asters and spindles grow out and attach to the chromosomes. Each chromosome will have two spindles attached to it. 3.Anaphase: the spindles, now completely attached to the chromosomes begin to pull the chromosomes apart. Cytokinesis also begins towards the end of anaphase. 4.Telophase: Cytokinesis finishes, meaning that two cells are now formed. The membrane of the nucleus begins to reform and the chromosomes begin to uncoil back into chromatin so that they can perform normal cell functions
The lady is right she got everything down work like this is fantastic
Mitosis: -Normal cell division (Binary division, Fission division) -Relatively simple involving only 1 division process -Used by some unicellular organisms for asexual reproduction(e.g.Amoeba) -Biological process for cell repair and growth -Genome number the same in daughter and parental cells -Produces genetically identical daughter cells -Do not generate biodiversity -No crossing over occurs
