The probability of choosing a white marble the first time you pick one is 8 out of the total number of marbles.  The probability of choosing a red marble, after choosing a white one, is the number of red out of the total number of marbles that are still in the bag ( remember you already took out a white one so there is one less marble). Then just multiply the probabilities together to find the probability of both happening.
