does anybody know how to solve this? I am studying discrete mathematics on sets. They asked me to express what would the cube of integers set, Z^3 be?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

1^3 2^3 3^3 4^3 ...

OpenStudy (amistre64):

or maybe its a reference to ZxZxZ

OpenStudy (amistre64):

most likely a triplet ordered pair whose elements are only integers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes it is. but it differs from real number set, R^3 which is the normal 3D cartesian plane. it uses the set of integers, Z

OpenStudy (amistre64):

\[(x,y,z)~:~x,y,z \in Z\] whats the question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is Z^3?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

then that would be it. I believe another name for "just integers" is lattice.

thanks
