The Legislative Branch makes and passes laws. In the Federal Goverment and most states this is the House and the Senate. The Judicial Branch interprets the laws. In the Federal Goverment and most states this is the Supreme Court. The Executive Branch, The President in the Federal Goverment , Governors in the States. The House and Senate may pass a law that the President does not like. He can veto the law. To override the video requires 2/3 vote of both houses. If The House and Senate pass a law, the President signs it, but the Supreme Court decides it is unconstitutional, they can strike down the law.
