(2x+1) (3x-2) Please explain! Medals!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what you've got there is the same as saying: 2x(3x-2)+1(3x-2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OR 3x(2x+1)-2(2x+1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and then you simply expand the brackets. 2x(3x-2)+1(3x-2) = 6x^2-4x+3x-2 = 6x^2-x-2
