Japanese help please!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do I write this in Japanese. (Romaji and Hiragana.): I play tennis very often. I play tennis with my friends. I often play tennis at the park. I usually play tennis after school. What I have so far: watashiha tenisuwo suruno ga sukidesu. bokuha nichiyoubini pa ku de yoku tenisu wo shimasu. I have to answer other questions like this, so if you could show what corresponds with what I'll greatly appreciate it. Basically I have to have four sentences after a activities: Here is an example of another activity I choose: Tennis Picking up the newspaper Making the bed Washing dishes Setting the table Go to school And, basically I want to restate the answers? Bed: I make my bed everyday. I make my bed, so I can sleep in a clean place. I make my bed at home. I usually make my bed before school. So can anyone translate those? And can you help me generate generic responses?

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

I play tennis very often. Watashiwa tennisu wo yoku shimasu.

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

Just a sec, let me install japanese on my computer. Gonna brush up on my skills too :D

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

I'm sure we can: Watashiwa tenisu wo yoku shimasu. わたしは てにす を よく します。

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

By the way you should write tenisu in katakana.

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

テニス

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

I play tennis with my friends. Watashiwa tomodachi to tenisu wo shimasu. わたしは ともだち と テニス を します。

OpenStudy (zale101):

You're a geniusssss @bahrom7893

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

I often play tennis at the park. Watashiwa tenisu wo yoku pa-kude shimasu. わたしは テニス を よく パーク で します。

OpenStudy (zale101):

@snorl4x, where did u go :(

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

I don't remember what after is in japanese :(. Oh well, maybe she already got an answer.

OpenStudy (opcode):

@bahrom7893 Has it. I'd type in Japanese, but I don't have it set up in this Machine... Anyway, 'houkago' means after school. (It maybe used to imply detention as-well.) I'd believe it to be: Watashi wa houkago tenisu o shimasu. I usually play tennis after school. Wouldn't it be: Watashi wa yoku tenisu o shimasu. Anyway, here is all the tennis sentences: I play tennis very often. Watashi wa, yoku tenisu o shimasu I play tennis with my friends. Watashi wa, tomodachi to tenisu o shimasu. I often play tennis at the park. Watashi wa taitei kouen de tenisu o shimasu. I usually play tennis after school. Watashi wa houkago tenisu o shimasu I'm in Year A1 for Japanese, I may be wrong. Anyway, feel free to correct me. You can convert to Romaji to Hiragana with this: http://os.comyr.com/hiragana.php I'm just a tad bit busy.

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

took 2 years of japanese, but havent looked at it at all in 3 years.

OpenStudy (zale101):

I took french for 2 years and forgot almost everything because of my classes i took this year. I Just remember basic stuff :\

OpenStudy (opcode):

As for bed: I make my bed everyday. Watashi wa, mainichi, beddo maikingu o shimasu. (I am not 100% sure about this one, sorry.) I make my bed, so I can sleep in a clean place. Watashi wa, beddo o totonoeru node, kirei na tokoro de nemure masu. (This is a direct translation so it is worded oddly.) I would word it like: Watashi wa seiketsuna beddo de nerareru youni beddomeikingu wo shimasu. I make my bed at home. Watashi wa ie de beddo o totonoe masu. (Again oddly worded...) I'm not sure if this is correct, but wouldn't it be: Watashi wa ie de beddo meikingu wo shimasu. I usually make my bed before school. Watashi wa taitei gakkou no mae ni beddo meikingu wo shimasu.

OpenStudy (opcode):

As for creating "generic responses." It wouldn't make any sense, for, "generic responses" look at it like this. The only generic responses you can create are for yes(hai) or no(iie) questions.,

OpenStudy (opcode):

Oops, I just realized I spaced beddo meikingu. It supposed to be: beddomeikingu which means making bed.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks but what did I do wrong about watashiha tenisuwo suruno ga sukidesu. bokuha nichiyoubini pa ku de yoku tenisu wo shimasu.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hello?

OpenStudy (opcode):

There isn't anything "wrong." Just 'boku' is usually used by boys. Watashi can be used by any gender. Boku wa nichiyoubi ni pa ku de yoku tenisu wo shimasu. A Japanese subect marker “は” is written as “ha” in Romaji, but Japanese pronounce “は” as “wa”. I suggest you try listen to short Japanese clips. So for you it would be: Watashi wa nichiyoubi ni kouen de yoku tenisu wo shimasu. (pa-ku is translated as kouen こうえん.) Sorry, for taking a long time to type, I don't have Japanese set up on this Machine so I have to keep going back and forth to the website to write Hiragana. If you have learned Katakana already, you can replace : Tenisu てにす:テニス Beddomeikingu べっどめいきんぐ:ベッドメイキング

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you!

OpenStudy (opcode):

No problem.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Opcode can you help me with these Picking up the newspaper Washing dishes Setting the table Go to school

OpenStudy (opcode):

Yes I can, but you'll need to form the English sentences. I presume you choose an activity and then you talk about it? I'll gladly help you, but right now I have to dash. G' bye. I'll come help you later if you still need it.
