Can anyone help me confirm? Solve for p ip^2 - 2p + i = 0 Would you use the quadratic formula or would you complete the square? I used the quadratic formula and I assumed what I got was right until my friend came in and said she used completing the square and ended with a different answer. :'( I checked my work so many times too but so did she so I'm not sure if one of us is doing some basic math incorrectly. Hopefully, it's not me. xD... I got -i + i√(2) and -i - i√(2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is p?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

p is a variable

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[ip ^{2}-2p+i=0\] then your answer without p?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yep, solve for p

hartnn (hartnn):

-i + i√(2) and -i - i√(2) are absolutely correct!
