I would say b & c. The endodermis is the central, innermost layer of cortex in some land plants. It is made of compact living cells surrounded by an outer ring of endodermal cells that are impregnated with hydrophobic substances (Casparian Strip) to restrict apoplastic flow of water to the inside. The endodermis is the boundary between \(\underline{the\ cortex\ and\ the\ stele.}\)

The answer is B The water first passes through the cortex then into the cell by the apoplast pathway. The original route of water in the endodermis is via the cortex as it determines which materials to pass from the cortex to the stele There you go (:
