Explain what happens during secondary growth.

Allright secondary growth. Instead of apical meristem, secondary growth occurs at lateral meristems. They surround the stem of the plant to make it grow in diameter (laterally) 2 types: -Vascular cambium: produces secondary xylem and phloem (these make up the wood as explained earlier today :P) -Cork cambium: produces the bark (periderm)
