************************************************* So I need a bit of help. I am a bit confuzzled... *************************************************

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you input an equation like for example, (x + 5)^6 into a calculator? So it could expand it instead of using the Binomial Theorem or Pascal's Triangle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

P.S. I know how to do it manually okay :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@completeidiot

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry, no idea never tried

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmmm...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol okay thank you anyway :) thanx for your time :3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I can graph it on my ti83 using the "y=" thingy... :-)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would that expand it though?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not as a graphing function. I don't know if a program could be written (for the ti83) to do that or not.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for example something like \((x + 5)^4\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can one do that using a calculator?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, I've never seen a button for it :-) Best I could do is graph it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm.. thanx though :)

OpenStudy (jhannybean):

Might need a program to show the expansion, a program using Pascal's algorithm.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@e.mccormick

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

@nincompoop

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You would need a program to do an expansion.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Most modern scientific calculators cannot expand. The Ti- N spire can expand.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay. so it would not be possible to accomplish on a scientific calculator right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The N-spire can expand I think.

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

Jirachi knows all and tells all.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I grant wishes every 1000 years :) .

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whose Jirachi ? lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A pokemon.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhhh

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

I want my wishes now. -.-

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you all :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry. I will grant them in 1000 years.

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

not 3000, \(\Huge{NOW}\)
