Solve A = one halfp + t for p in terms of A and t.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

p = 2(A – t) p = 2A – t p = A – 2t p = the quantity of A minus t all over two

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\large A=\frac{ 1 }{ 2 }p+t\] subtract t from both sides of the equation: \[\large A-t=\frac{ 1 }{ 2 }p\] multiply both sides of the equation by 2 and what do you get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would you get 2 (A-t) = 2p?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you rather get 2(A-t)=p

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the left hand side has 1/2 p so if multiplied by 2, you would get p.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah! what do i do next?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you are done you have solved for p (in other words you have made p the subject of the equation)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay! so the answer is 2(A-t)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or p= 2(A-t)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes! you got it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you so much!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it could also be written like that...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you are welcome!....(:
