When you have a problem like this, take some points you know satisfy the inequality (are in the blue shaded region) and plug them in. For example, we could use \((0,0)\). Test it with each option.$$0<1\\0\le1\\0>1$$So now we've eliminated option (C) and know it must be either (A) or (B). Recognize the only difference between them is that (B) includes the boundary of our region, hence the \(\le\) vs merely \(\lt\). Our graph includes the boundary, too, hence the solid blue lines. So our answer is (B).

The reason we eliminated option C is because \(0\not\gt1\).
