SO what's the supplement of 117 now? :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the other angle is 63...but what is the value of a triangle

OpenStudy (goldphenoix):

Angle y and angle 117 are supplementary angle because they both form a straight line. They both must add up to 180 then. If one angle has a degree of 117, then the other angle has a degree of 180 - 117. 180 - 117 = 63. So if y is equal to 63 degree, then x must be: 63 + 47 + x = 180. Combine like term: 110 + x = 180 Subtract: x= 70. So x is 70 degree! I hope this help!

oh YAY I got the right answer :). ok another problem is coming up

OpenStudy (goldphenoix):

You remember the formula I gave you? To find the degree of any polygon, you can use, (x-2) x 180, where x is the amount of side. Since a triangle has 3 sides. You can use the formula (3-2) x 180. 3-2 is 1. 1 x 180 is 180. So a triangle has a degree of 180.

oh yea..i wrote that in my notes
