What is the connection between sister chromatids and DNA replication?
Is it that replicated DNA is the stuff used to make sister chromatids???
mitosis and meiosis
you are essentially, correct.
\(\huge OH~ YEAH, ~huh\)
lol. ya.. read up on those two processes because they explain a lot about genetic variations
They exchanges in somatic cells ( Non-sex cells or reproductive cells.) i believe,
The question was worth 6 points and only got 3 so I was like wtf am I missing?? Puck biology
there is no exchange of DNA during replication nor between sister chromatids.
@Zale101 go home you're drunk.
ok
genetic variation occur when there's a fault in meiotic process and during crossing-over. these are random processes. sister chromatids are the two identical halves of a single replicated eukaryotic chromosome
Oh and what's the relationship between fixation mutation and DNA replication?
even in the process of meiosis (replication in the germ/sex cells), sister chromatids arise.
lol I just had a lot of test on these question in evolution
Lol I'm cramming for my final tomorrow. His notes are so disorganized. We did DNA mutation and repair before we learned DNA replication.
DNA replication is a natural process. IT is a part of a cell cycle so it happens all the time during mitotic and meiotic phases. Fixation mutation on the other hand occurs when certain mutation is passed on randomly through processes involved in genetic drifts. let attach something
