What are the zeros of the polynomial function: f(x) = (x – 3)(x + 1)(x + 5)? A: –3, 1, 5 B: –3, –1, –5 C: 3, –1, –5 D: 3, 1, 5 I picked A, am I correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Could you explain why, please?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no, to find the zeros you have to make f(x) = 0. if you make f(x) = 0, each bracket must equal 0 so for eg. (x-3)=0 therefore, x=3 etc.

So C would be correct after all then, right? Just want to double check..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep

Alright, thank you so much!~
