What is the main problem defining a unified theory?

As far as i know the two main pillars of today's science is string theory (the physics of the very small) and the General relativity (the physics of the very large), and they seem to obey their own laws of physics at their respective scale. One major goal is to try and unite them.. So i don't really get the question.. but looking at the options i think the answer is Entanglement, cause Quantum entanglement (or as called as spooky action at a distance by Albert Einstien) cannot be explained by any of the theories..
