Help with making an equation for parallel lines in slope intercept form please?
parallel lines have the same slope perpendicular lines' slopes are negative reciprocals of each other
IMPORTANT LINE RELATED EQUATIONS TO KNOW AND MEMORIZE slope formula m= slope/ gradiant -- same thing \[m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}\] standard formula \[Ax+By=C\] point-slope formula \[y-y_1=m(x-x_1)\] slope-intercept formula b= y-intercept -- in the form of (0,y) \[y=mx+b\]
perpendicular line slope \[m=-\frac1m\] parallel lines =\[m_{1}=m_{2}\]
I still don't get how to make my own equation..
If two equations have the same slope, then they are parallel and if you have to write an equation parallel to the given equation ,change only the constant term.
