x^12 z^11 / x^2 z^4 Is the simplified version 1/x^10 z^7 ? @jim_thompson5910

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You would do well to utilize the following: a^b / a^c = a^(b-c)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Was I incorrect?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes. So, you would subtract 2 from the 12 and keep "x" on top and subtract 4 from the 11 and keep "z" on top. There will be no denominator when you are done.

Oh! Thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

uw! Good luck in all of your studies and thx for the recognition! @unheard
