no of amino acids in dna

OpenStudy (frostbite):

Care to explain what you mean with your question? It is true that DNA ≠ Amino acids. They are two different things.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry it is no of units of amino acids in dna

OpenStudy (frostbite):

You keep writing amino acids... sure you not mean the nitrogenous bases in the nucleotides?

OpenStudy (frostbite):

Amino acids is something found in proteins.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It would be # of amino acids in protein i think

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Our DNA can code for 20 different amino acids. That means that our cells can put together 20 different amino acids, using our DNA.

OpenStudy (frostbite):

Don't forget L-Selenocysteine :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh my teachers never told me about L-Selenocysteine. What third world piece of sht education system is screwing me over?

OpenStudy (frostbite):

Hey I did not know about it until I saw in my book in inorganic biological chemistry we consist of a relative high amount of selenium, and just had to check for references :)

OpenStudy (frostbite):

Hopefully I'm going to have more about that next year as I get Biochemistry I - Metabolism and Enzymology.
