May someone teach me algorithm? I really want to learn this material; it is something I have been interested in since I was in the 8th grade when my class saw a movie on how mathematics were used to build a successful rocket. If someone can teach me step by step then I will give it my all to learn, for I am trying to build something myself.

You can "create" an algorithm for connecting to the internet, posting online, or any task you can conceive. 
You could say that a cookbook is a collection of algorithms for food. We use various algorithms to teach children how to use a fork or to tie their shoes. The bedtime routine is an algorithm for getting a child to bed.

To reiterate, an algorithm is just a collection of steps used to achieve a specific task.

I was mostly trying to convey that the term "algorithm" refers to a process. Each of those topics you mention have their own algorithms to accomplish a variety of tasks within the discipline. You should take a look at the OCW being offered and see which topic grabs your attention with the greatest force and start there.
