OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

shortest/longest simplify

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the answer is really long :(

@zzr0ck3r

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the only time anyone would ask for an answer quick is usually during the middle of an exam reminder, asking for help with any exam of any sort is prohibited as it is against the anticheating policy in the terms and condition

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i want help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and fyi it is not an exam ask questions first.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is the shortest side? what is the longest side? what is the definition of a ratio?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know that you have to divide but how do i simplify it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i would suggest multiplying top and bottom by 10 first

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then try to simplify it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got 204 and 78

OpenStudy (anonymous):

simplifying fractions, you want to look at the numerator and the denominator and determine if they share common factor, if they do, you can pull them out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

even numbers are divisible by 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

102 and 39

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do they share any common factors?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

um i dont think so

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you sure 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13 are not possible factors

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

example 1.24/1.2 = 124/120 = 62/60 = 31/30

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

7.8/20.4 = 78/204 = ?

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

divide top and bottom by 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

39 and 102
