SOLVE: 3x - 2y = 9 and -3x + 2y = -9 using elimination

hero (hero):

Have you tried adding the two equations together? If so, what did you get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i'm pretty sure it is dependent.

OpenStudy (radar):

Looks very strange to me.

OpenStudy (radar):

Both equations are the same line: y = (3/2)x - 3 this is an identity. The 2nd equation is equal to the first equation. Multiply first equation by -1 and it becomes the 2nd equation. infinite number of solutions.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you add the equations you find 0x+0y=0 Every x y is a solution It s the equation of a line y=(3x-9)/2
