what is the total area of the figure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That figure has a volume, not an area. So you mean surface area?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

T.A= (___+ - sqrt) this is what the question says

OpenStudy (swissgirl):

Like @gregbrutsche1 said its either the surface area or the volume since its a 3D figure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1372312462039:dw| each side of the triangle is 3 inches long. You should have a formula somewhere to tell you how tall the triangle is. Or use 30-60-90 rules. use that to find the area of the ends then the rectangle sides of the prism shouldn't be too bad

OpenStudy (dan815):

oh thought this was volume question lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes me too

OpenStudy (dan815):

is that supposed to be a 3d figure u want the surface area?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there is another question asking for volume too with the same figure

OpenStudy (dan815):

OpenStudy (dan815):

oh okay good htne u need to find the areas of the triangles front and back and the 3 rectangles around it
