Which of the following represents the graph of x – 4y = 0?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is C the correct answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@justinv C right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think so

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

First convert the given equation to slope-intercept form :- x-4y = 0 4y = x y = \(\frac{1}{4}\) x

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

slope = \(\frac{1}{4}\) its positive, so the line has to **rise** as you move right.

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

Having that knowledge, look at your options, and tell me which two options you can strike off immediatly

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks @ganeshie8! Can you also explain how I graph the line? I am not sure about it:(

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

You didnt answer my q yet :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry! SORRY! B and D can be striked off immediately!

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

thank you !

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

lets see how to graph this line

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

can you draw coordinate grid, label x and y... for me :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok :)
