plz help how it is equal to 0 http://www.wolframalpha.com/widget/widgetPopup.jsp?p=v&id=acc0a7e1a01e35f904fbdc148987612d&title=Limits%20Calculator&theme=blue&i0=floor%28sin%28abs%28x%29%29%2Fx%29&i1=x&i2=0&podSelect=&includepodid=Limit&podstate=Limit__Show%20steps&showAssumptions=1&showWarnings=1

[] = floor function

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ganeshie8 - :/

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

the floor function is pulling the 0.9999999 to 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0.999 ??????????? how come u got this value

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ganeshie8 -bhai sahi sai samjh mai nahai aaya :'(

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

when you take right hand limit, \(\sin x / x \) approaches to 1 as x approaches 0. it never equals 1. So when u take floor value of 0.99999 you wud get 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh :OOO

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

same applies for the left hand limit also

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ::O

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

floor(-0.9999999) = -1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ganeshie8 floor(-0.9999999) = -1 it shpuld be 0 lol 0.99 is biiger than 0 so 0+ [-o+]= -0=0 XD

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

dint get u

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait see lim x-->0- [sin(-1)/-1] lim x->0- [sim1] sin 1 = 0.84 which is o+ (sligltly bigger than 0] as u know if the inner part of [] is greater than n then the naswer will be n if leser than n (n-) than answer is n-1 XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

btw thanx bro :)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

np :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ganeshie8-np means?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no problem lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh no problem in short :D seem like u r an indian :')

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

np means, 'no problem, you're welcome anytime'

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol i know but forgot

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

i am lol i understand ur hindi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ganesh8 may be u r marathi :P

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

south... i live in bangalore :) wbu

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh m from city of nawab [lucknow] preparing for iit jee :'(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

iitjee isn't that hard tbh lol.

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

wow ! good luck !!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@genius12 -are u an indain too?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope, i live in canada but i know about iitjee lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

earlier is used to be good at maths now i don't what happened i m not getting small things -_- u won't understand

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the problems themselves require knowledge of a certain topic but I don't see how they're hard. There isn't that much problem solving involved or anything like that tbh.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh good it's not easy u know :P yeah but not getting time nah

OpenStudy (anonymous):

having triple pressure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like have you seen the complex determinants problem from iitjee? If you know euler's formula and how determinants work, it's extremely easy.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

most of them joined coaching in class 11th for iitjee i joined on this yr(april) :'(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well no :'(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which is why i feel that a number of the iitjee problems lack the problem solving aspect.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol still people is not able to crack it may be easy for u grr have to study till ate night :'(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@genius12 -is it necesary to study calculus :'( can't we study only algebra :'(
