How are you supposed to shade when graphing polynomial inequalities?

If your curve (graph) doesn't pass through the origin, then test it out. Set x = 0 and work out if the inequality is still true.

If it is still true, then shade the part containing the origin. If it's not true, then shade the part not containing the origin.
