OpenStudy (swissgirl):

Firstly its asking for horizontal asymptote so we know our answer is gonna be y= NOT x=

OpenStudy (swissgirl):

Secondly any regular exponential function c^x usually has a horizontal asymptote at x=0

OpenStudy (swissgirl):

since y=5^(x-2)+6 So we have a vertical translation of 6 meaning the graph moved up 6 units so the horizontal asymptote is at y=6

thank you

OpenStudy (dan815):

always think of base graph and work from there
