Tired and not thinking right. I read further in the assignment and basically figured it out.

Though i do have a separate question you could me out with.

In the assignments for 6.189 whenever they have a maths question there is a symbol that i just cannot find what it means.

It looks like a / or \ but slightly curved.

What does it mean?

Yah, that is the new, messed up browser version of the reader. If never works right and I wish they would just remove it. use the download button on the upper left, get a real copy of the file, and open it in regular Acrobat Reader and it is all fine.
