NEED HELP WITH ALGEBRA PROBLEM (PIC INSERTED)

OpenStudy (goformit100):

Where to click for the graph ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

vertical asymptote: set the denominator equal to zero and solve you get \[x+2=0\iff x=-2\] so the vertical asymptote is \(x=-2\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

horizontal asymptote: since the degree of the denominator is larger than the degree of the numerator, it is \(y=0\) that, along with a couple well chosen points, should be enough to graph the function

OpenStudy (marissalovescats):

|dw:1373045262513:dw| That pretty much what it should look like after you plot the points. The VA is -2. There is no HA. And then because the VA is -2 you want to make a table of 2 points on each side of -2. So -3,-4,-1, and 0. Those are the x values and you plug each of those into the equation to get the ys. Plot those and you should get a graph like mine.
