HELP!!!!!!!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What help do you need?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i need help understanding what a genotype and a phenotype is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Frostbite can explain you..I think..

OpenStudy (frostbite):

I sure can I just waited for you :) Well genotype (from genome) is the specific alleles we contain. The phenotype is what we can actually observe as characteristics. The phenotype thereby become the characteristics as a result of the genotype and environment. Lets take an example: We have two alleles A for brown (dominant) and a for blue. The genotype I could have would be Aa. As A is dominant I would have brown eyes... so my phenotype is just A... we do not know from my phenotype if I have AA or Aa. That is if I am hetrozygote or homozygote.

OpenStudy (frostbite):

So to recap: Genotype: The specific genes. Phenotype: What we can observe as a result of genes and environment.

@Ryaan and I think you already knew this ;)
